Going veggie is probably the single most effective thing anyone can do to help stop animal suffering. It’s simple – if you don’t eat them, then they don’t suffer and die.

The great thing is it’s really easy to change to an animal-friendly diet. It’s also a great way to help save the environment, help feed people around the world and last but not least, it’s healthier for you!

What is a vegetarian?

Vegetarians don’t eat animals. They avoid all forms of meat, including poultry, fish and slaughterhouse products such as animal fats and gelatine.

  • Lacto-ovo-vegetarians eat dairy products and eggs. This is the most common type of vegetarian diet.
  • Lacto-vegetarians eat dairy products but not eggs.

What is a vegan?

Vegans are vegetarians who avoid eating all animal products, such as meat, fish, eggs, dairy products (milk, cheese and yogurt) and honey.
